Research of the influence of nanocomposites on gaspermeability of packaging materials
(Nadia Lepot - Phd. student)
This Phd. is a research in cooperation with VerpakkingsCentrum. By bringing metaloxid nanoparts into plastic packaging materials, attempts are made to reduce the gas permeability of these materials. Thanks to this e.g. food can be preserved for longer periods. Nanoparts with different shapes and sizes were synthesized and attempted to be mixed into common packaging materials as efficiently as possible.

Research on the relation between the mechanism of gaspermeability of packaging and packaging materials and their structural and morfological qualities.
(Marjoleine Drieskens - Phd. student)
This Phd. is a research in cooperation with VerpakkingsCentrum. Research is done on how microstructure of biodegradable polymer packaging materials can have an influence on gaspermeability. This research is done in cooperation with TUEindhoven. TUEindhoven.
